SMTP email

We are using wp-mail for email using our SMTP mail server. How do we get WP Auctions to use this as well? PHP mail does not work

The plugin is designed to use PHP Mail and there's no facility to use an external mail facility at the moment.

Every hosting service we have dealt with in the past has had PHP Mail facility, does your host block this for you or is it just not configured correctly? What host are you using?
