getting started

Postby saraharonson » Sat Aug 13, 2011 8:32 pm

I just bought the auction pro and cannot get it started.

I am trying to make an auction of about 20 items to support a charity. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for buying the plugin. Could you please specify what the problem is exactly?

Installation, auction creation, widget issues? The more information you can give us the better we can help.

Installation.

I can't get past what was avail in the lite version. It seems to only be able to list indiv items as separate auctions.

First off -

1. If you have the Lite version still installed you need to remove it, i.e de-activate and delete it from your site. You might lose some auction information.

Once you have done that then re-activate the Pro version. Let me know any other issues you face after this.

Still no luck.

I deactivated the lite version, but I can't seem to import or activate the pro.

Where does the file need to go?

How do I execute it?

Am I stuck because I have a Mac???

thanks,

s

Did you delete the Lite version as well from your site? You need to delete it too.

The zip file can be imported under Plugins > Add New > Upload.

Simply upload it via that interface and WordPress will guide you through the process. See my attachment for reference.

Once it has been uploaded you can activate it and you will then see the WP Auctions menu item appear in WordPress.

I thought I had it, but it doesn't download as a zip file.

I am downloading winzip (sigh) and will try again.

Yes, it's a .zip file. That's the only format we have in our download area when you click on the "Download" button from your Weborithm Products member area.

Thanks. I see that it should work, but it is still giving me issues.

What could be the reason it won't upload?

(When I try and choose the download to upload, I can't even choose it.)
